Holy Avtar Vani - Shabad No. 11
Bharpur khalawan andar vekho pasri baitha jo datar;
Waqt de hakam ne hai rakhya nan ese da hi nirankar.
Jo kujh disdai nazrin aondai ese da hai sagal pasar;
Deen dukhi bhagtan da rakhshak iho srishti sirjanhar.
eho berhi chappu eho ap samundar khevanhar;
Ved kitaban de nahin vass da be-ant eh be-shumar.
Jaap taap ton vass na hove ghalan di na jakrhe tar;
Kahe avtar mile je satgur lahe parda chhin vichkar.
Meaning
The benevolent God, spread across the whole universe has been named Nirankar (The Formless One) by the True Master of the present times. All that is visible and can be perceived by us is nothing but manifestation of this very Nirankar. He is the savior of the wretched and protector of his devotees and He is the creator of the whole universe. He himself is the boat, the oars, the oarsmen and ocean. He is boundless and infinite and cannot be described by any of the books or Holy Scriptures. He can neither be attained by recitation of chants, by ascetic practices nor by performing rites and rituals. Avtar says if one meets the True Master, the True Master can remove the veil of ignorance in one moment.
